The home inspection process is confusing not only to first time home buyers but also veteran purchasers. There are many conditions to consider including advice (and horror stories) from friends and family members, news reports about dangers and hazards and your own personal needs. Our customer service representatives are trained to ask you a battery of questions and tailor the home inspection experience to your particular requirements. These will include items such as the age of the structure, the number of units on site, whether there is a finished basement or not, the fuel used for heating and whether you will have a well and septic system. Oh yeah... we will probably ask if you are a first time home buyer or not.

Your answers will determine what types of ancillary testing will be performed such as a wood destroying insect inspection, radon screening or water analysis. Your accurateness (and patience) will will provide us with the information that we need to ensure that the proper testing is conducted. Any special concerns that you have and that we can supply to the inspector prior to the inspection will ensure that he will be fully prepared to provide a unique home inspection experience.

Please be prepared with the following information so that we can effectively "tailor" the inspection to your personal needs.

Personal Contact Info
Any applicable phone numbers so that we can reach you directly and promptly.
An e-mail address so that we can speed report and laboratory test results delivery.
Your current home or mailing address for billing purposes.
Any special needs for children or for medical issues.
Property Information (MLS data is usually enough)

Obviously we need a street address. The zip code will help us plot the address on a map.
Is the property residential or commercial?
How many units are involved? (units are residences not outbuildings, etc.)
What year was the structure built? (certain environmental tests apply to older structures)
What is the style of the building?
What is the approximate square footage? (this determines the inspection duration)
Specific Property Information

Is the basement finished, partially finished or do you plan to finish the basement?
Is the property occupied? If not, are the utilities on?
What is the heating fuel? If oil, is the tank below ground?
Is the house supplied by a municipal water line or a well?
Is the waste system public or private?
