Suffern is conveniently located just off the New York State Thruway, which provides quick and easy access to the Tappan Zee Bridge, New York City and upstate regions. Suffern also connects with Route 59, known as the “ Main Street ” of Rockland County . One of the area’s major medical centers can be found in Suffern in Good Samaritan Hospital as well as the county’s largest education institution, Rockland Community College .
