With its pristine surroundings and unique
accessibility, Pine Bush is the quintessential Orange County town.
Nestled at the base of the Shawangunk Mountains approximately 20
miles west of the Hudson River and 75 miles north of New York City,
Pine Bush has it all: Spacious and affordable housing, excellent
school systems, a low crime rate, outstanding road, rail and air
transportation, lack of congestion, and a wide range of recreational
activities offer unique advantages for business and for living.
Nearby is Stewart International Airport, an alternate site for
landing the space shuttle, since the airport has one of the longest
runways in the United States. Recreation options are plentiful, with
acres of parkland and top flight golf courses nearby. The historic
West Point military academy is also a short distance away. The Pine
Bush Central School District covers seven townships located in
portions of Ulster, Sullivan, and Orange counties. Established in
1938, the district is composed of four elementary schools, two
middle schools, and a high school.
